Together Mike & Michele have 5 dogs, 14 chickens, & 2 bulls, as well as an abundance of wildlife creatures, on their homestead in Northern New York.

Mike has worked on farms for much of his life. His dream has always been to own his own farm.

He enjoys the outdoors, animals, the woods, camping, trapping & hunting.

Michele enjoys educating herself, advocating for others, reading, herbalism, crafting, and spending time with her family.

She likes making herbal remedies and natural cleaning products for her home. A chemical-free life is important to her, although, she is within reason on this. She will share recipes for both natural cleaning and herbal remedies.

As a grandmother, she has a goal of teaching her grands to respect the earth, land, and people while teaching them that they have the power within themselves and also some unseen help along the way.

Michele has worked in the healthcare industry for 18 years and has held several side “gigs”. She has been blogging over the years at; The Michele O Blog, Not Your Average Granny, Simpli Michele, and Oracle of the Land;  which are now retired.
