Off to a Good Start
It’s the end of the last full week of June. The garden is sprouting and growing even if it did get put in later than I had hoped. The apple tree is growing apples and the crabapple tree has started to grow its apples. The oak tree is beginning its acorns. I think it’s fascinating to watch all this growth and rebirth on their own time table

My herbs are in pots in the greenhouse still. They are doing great and getting quite large. It’s time to start picking some leaves and doing something with them. I plan on making my own bug spray with my herbs. Also, I will be making tea blends.
Our peony bush has shriveled up and died. I wonder if they will bloom again. I will have to look into that. Maybe I should have picked them.
I’ve never been more aware of nature than I am now. A place to explore and stare in wonder without people looking at me thinking I’m weird. I can document and not have to travel further than around my house. I still have not explored too much in the fields. Although, the rest of the family has.
I do wish I had paid more attention to what my mother had tried to teach me while she was alive. I just didn’t have any patience back then and the past was not my thing. This life didn’t appeal to me until I was so disconnected from nature and the natural rhythm of things caused my anxiety. I finally was forced to pay attention to get my life in alignment.
This past week, the temperature was cooler and I was thankful. This Sunday, the humidity started back up again. Why can’t the temperature stay in the 70s? That would be perfect.
What’s going on around your space?
