Farmstead Update

Progress

We finally got our garden planted in the first part of the week. What a relief! It was still cold in the first part of June and we were waiting for a part for the plow so things had to wait a bit. But, it’s done! And now we can get to other things if this heat ever breaks. It’s been up in the upper 80’s here in Northern New York. Too hot for me.

Our puppies will be 8 weeks old tomorrow. They are ready to go! They are the cutest 6 puppies ever.

More tree identifying. We have identified at least 15 tree varieties just in our front yard. The following is a leaf from an Oak tree of which there are hundreds of varieties.

After 2 days of research, I think this is a Pin Oak.

I have 1 shrub of Peonies. They are beautiful.

The week ended with the summer solstice. You can see the picture of the sunset on that day above. If this heat would break we can start preparing things for next year because in the Fall we will be busy.  But, alas, the heat will continue this week.
